The Avs come into this game after losing just their third game in regulation all season, but the loss itself wasn’t the main concern. Gabe Landeskog was unfortunately injured in this game, and it looks like he’s going to miss some time with an injury. Hopefully, this Colorado team is able to bounce back in his absence here tonight and continue to rattle off wins as we make our way through the back half of this NHL season.
Projected Lineup
Artturi Lehkonen – Nathan MacKinnon – Martin Necas
Victor Olofsson – Brock Nelson – Valeri Nichushkin
Ross Colton – Jack Drury – Gavin Brindley
Taylor Makar – Parker Kelly – Zakhar Bardakov
Samuel Girard – Cale Makar
Josh Manson – Brent Burns
Ilya Solovyov – Sam Malinski
Scott Wedgewood
Trent Miner
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning come into this game having won their last seven games in a row, and they look to make it eight straight against the suddenly wounded Colorado Avalanche team today. They’ve kind of had a quietly good season so far, and currently sit at second in the Atlantic Division. They are just one point behind the Detroit Red Wings for the lead in the Eastern Conference as well. This team is incredibly skilled and can certainly hang with Colorado when it comes to scoring ability, so it’s no wonder that they’ve won seven games straight. Bouncing back from the Panthers loss against this Tampa Bay team certainly won’t be easy for Colorado.
Projected Lineup
Gage Goncalves – Brayden Point – Nikita Kucherov
Brandon Hagel – Anthony Cirelli – Jake Guentzel
Zemgus Girgensons – Yanni Gourde – Pontus Holmberg
Nick Paul – Dominic James – Oliver Bjorkstrand
JJ Moser – Darren Raddysh
Charle-Edouard D’astous – Erik Cernak
Declan Carlile – Maxwell Crozier
Andrei Vasilevskiy
Jonas Johansson
