The Washington Commanders didn’t get many favors on the schedule to start their season. They open with two division games on the road, then host last season’s Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks, and follow that with a game in London against the Indianapolis Colts. Washington lost their season debut against the Eagles, failing to convert a game-tying 2-point conversion, and a final score of 24-22. Next up is a road game against the Dallas Cowboys and the Commanders are road underdogs again.
The Cowboys
visited the New York Giants for their season opener and left with a division loss. That puts Dallas at the bottom of the NFC East with Washington. The Jim Harbaugh-led Giants were in control of the game the entire way, and Dallas didn’t look like the offensive juggernaut with an improved defense that was being advertised before the season. It was Week 1, but the Cowboys looked like the worst team in the division.
Division games can be unpredictable, but most people were expecting the Cowboys to win the NFC East this year. Week 2 features two division rivals looking for their first win of the season, and trying to not take sole possession of last place. The line is a little closer for this one, and both teams have a lot more to prove this season.
