D’Montae Tims, a 3-star safety in the class of 2026 out of Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, who was originally committed to Colorado announced that he’d be flipping his commitment to Indiana, according
to On3’s Hayes Fawcett:
Mims ranks in as the 87th highest-rated safety and 934th highest-rated prospect overall in the class of 2026, per On3’s Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s the 24th member of Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class, as of publication. The program hosted him on campus during its matchup against Wisconsin, Indiana’s final home game, which ended in a 31-7 victory. He’d previously committed to Missouri before flipping to Colorado and received attention from a slew of programs including Miami and Louisville.
His flip is another sign of Indiana gaining momentum on the trail in the wake of a second consecutive historic season. Indiana turned 2024’s wins into recruiting wins, but showing that year wasn’t a one-time flash in the pan moved the needle all the more in the Hoosiers’ favor.
