This headline could be dated in the next 10 minutes, but as it stands, Mike Florio reports that the Los Angeles Rams have reportedly backed out of wanting to trade for A.J. Brown.
Florio does clarify the situation could be fluid so perhaps L.A. will be interested in Brown at a later time, but as it stands, the Rams are not interested in trading for Brown, or at least are not willing to meet the asking price of the Eagles.
“They’re out now. They were in, and they’re out…and I guess they could
come back around, but as of right now, they’re out.”
Florio says that the Rams may have seen some medical information on Brown that made them nervous to trade for the all-star offensive weapon.
The A.J. Brown saga has certainly taken a lot of twists and turns with teams reportedly being interested in the player, teams reportedly being uninterested in the player and the Philadelphia Eagles themselves reportedly going back and forth and whether to trade the Super Bowl champion wide receiver or not.
Expect the Rams to continue to monitor the situation, but according to Florio, L.A. has no interest in striking a deal with the Eagles at this time.
Now, if we start getting reports that Philly could be interested in trading for Davantae Adams, then perhaps this story will have more life, but until then, it looks like the Rams will plan to add to their wide receiver room via the draft.
