In late November WWE announced a Mexican media rights contract for Lucha Libre AAA, the Mexican promotion it purchased earlier in 2025. That deal was with FOX*, and it starts tonight (Jan. 17).
The FOX contract covers Mexico and most of South America (but not Brazil). For the rest of the world, WWE is making the show available online. In fact, the YouTube stream is embedded above for you to watch it right here!
Not much was announced until this past week, but WWE does seem to want to make the show
a pretty big deal. Rey Mysterio will open it, Omos is making one of his special appearances, and the main event will pit El Hijo del Vikingo against El Grande Americano to determine AAA Mega champion Dirty Dom Mysterio’s next challenger.
It’s not clear if we’re getting English language commentary, but the show is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET. So join us then, click play above, and we can find out together.
Here’s what WWE has announced for the show:
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio will kick off the show
AAA Mega Championship Match No. 1 Contender’s Match
El Grande Americano vs. El Hijo del VikingoAAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer vs. Lady Shani (Non-Title)
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Niño Hamburguesa, La Parka & Mr. Iguana vs. Abismo Negro, Taurus & Histeria
* But not the same FOX AEW is on Mexico… we think we figured that out here.
