Between Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, the Los Angeles Rams didn’t leave much room to add other veterans in the offseason. Oh sure, they will continue to add experienced players between now and training camp, but the majority of the players added to the Rams roster in the next few months will come via the college ranks:
The Draft and even more importantly, undrafted free agency.
The Rams have about 30 spots left on their 90-man roster and if this offseason is like the last few, L.A. will get younger
and fill out the roster with a huge undrafted class. Financially this is also the thing that makes the most sense:
The Rams only have about $14 million in cap space and they have to pay the 13th overall pick in the draft unless they make a trade. They would also save money by trading Davante Adams. That move would open up a lot of room for L.A., but until then the Rams are going to be skimping and saving on how they fill the rest of the 2026 roster.
The Rams have 28 players on offense.

Offensive Needs
There aren’t many obvious ones. The team probably needs to get a receiver who could be a starter in 2026 and beyond. And given upcoming contract decisions with Kevin Dotson and Steve Avila, potentially an interior offensive lineman like a center or a guard or preferably a versatile one who can do both.
And the Rams have 28 players on defense.

Defensive Needs
Between McDuffie and Watson, the Rams addressed cornerback significantly. But continuing to add to their defense at any position would make some sense.
What needs stick out to you as the Rams approach an important draft and undrafted class that will shape a good portion of their 2026-2029 rosters?
