Good morning, baseball fans!
Another week of San Francisco Giants baseball is drawing to a close this weekend, which means it’s time to take a look back at the week that was and make our picks for Player of the Week!
My pick for this week would normally have been my pick for highlight of the week, but you’ll see why I went a different route on that tomorrow. Instead, I’m going to go ahead and pick Drew Gilbert for one very specific reason and that is his home run in Sunday’s 7-1 win over the Tampa
Bay Rays.
He wasn’t the only player to hit a home run in the last week, heck he wasn’t even the only player to hit one in that game. But this one was special because it was his first MLB home run. That deserves some recognition, so he’s my pick this week.
