I’ll concede that Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson must stay healthy for the title of this Random Ramsdom to have a chance at being true come for the regular season, but as it stands, the Los Angeles Rams have a good cornerback room.
It’s improved from last year, it’s perhaps the best CB room the team has had in a few seasons, and as long as this defense stays healthy, they should be solid.
Despite some saying that McDuffie isn’t a top-10 CB, facts are facts, and top-1o lists are debatable. What seems
to be perceived as a fact is that many around the NFL consider McDuffie to be a great add for the Rams. Watson too. Myles Garrett? Yah, he seems like a good add too.
We’ll see what happens come Week 1, but this defense looks good, and I don’t care what anyone else or their lists have to say about it. For now.

“McDuffie ranked fifth in a poll of unnamed NFL personnel, including executives, coaches, and scouts, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on July 7. He was unranked at his lowest, but third at his peak in this year’s voting. However, he still finished one slot behind his 2025 placement.
Fowler noted that some still view McDuffie as “more of a slot corner,” which may have hurt him.“

“5. Trent McDuffie, Los Angeles Rams. Highest ranking: 3 | Lowest ranking: Unranked,” Fowler shares from the ESPN poll. “McDuffie is a top-five cornerback for the second consecutive year.”
While there might have been some question over the Rams spending a first-rounder, along with a third, fifth, and sixth-round picks to add the now former Kansas City Chiefs star, but this move was absolutely the right call.
The 25-year-old cornerback isn’t just on the team; he signed a long-term deal to stick in Los Angeles for a while, and should be a huge help for the Rams’ defense moving forward.
