The toughest stretch of the Seattle Seahawks regular season schedule concludes on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. They fell to the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos, bounced back big time versus the Kansas City Chiefs, and now the reigning Super Bowl champions have a big showdown in prime-time against the high-flying Bears offense.
Seattle’s defense showed up in a big way to stymie the Kansas City offense. It’ll be a tougher task on Monday against a better set of receivers. and
a terrific offensive mind in Ben Johnson. Caleb Williams’ last time playing a Mike Macdonald defense was the 6-3 “classic” at the end of the 2024 season. Ben Johnson wasn’t the coach at the time, the Bears have revamped their offensive line, and the Seahawks roster has undergone significant overhaul on offense and defense.
For the Seahawks offense, we’ll get the return of Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price, which should help boost the run game. It’s also the debut of Quenton Nelson on the offensive line, although he won’t have Charles Cross alongside him due to injury. The Seahawks have been turnover prone in their losses (read: Sam Darnold has been turnover prone in Seattle’s losses), and when they max the turnovers out at one then they win. Let’s see if there’s a trend-breaker in this stat, or if the Seahawks turnover count will once again tell us the outcome of the game.
Join us in our MNF game chat! As a reminder to everyone, we have a new SB Nation App (available in the USA and Canada) and one of the great functions of the app is our live game chat function. We’re a vibrant and active community as is, but the app really gets utilized a lot during game days. Live mode works almost too well, and the comment responsiveness is better than ever! You can also toggle off live mode to get comment updates the old fashioned way instead of instantaneously.
