The Cleveland Browns opened as 2.5-point favorites against the Miami Dolphins ahead of their Week 7 match-up, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under on the game is 39.5.

The Browns (1-5) are coming
off of an ugly 23-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. We know the offense and special teams units have been struggling, but the defense joined the party for this one. Sure, you can say that they held the Steelers without a touchdown in the first half, to their credit. But they also didn’t sack Aaron Rodgers once, they let him make big plays outside the pocket, and he looked fairly comfortable after the first quarter. Cleveland’s offense, meanwhile, went without a touchdown for the entire game and saw more dropped passes, difficulty getting the ball completed downfield, and offensive line breakdowns.
The Dolphins (1-5) have the same record as the Browns, and you know things must be bad for Cleveland — a team that hasn’t scored 17 points once this season — is the favorite over anyone. Yes, the Browns are at home, which gives even-record teams an odds advantage typically, but still. The Dolphins’ lone win came against the winless Jets. Miami nearly came back with two fourth quarter touchdowns this week, but they allowed a quick drive to the Chargers for a game-winning field goal in a 29-27 loss. Miami has been a team where they have had turmoil, a shaky defense, and a hot-and-cold offense, but their offense does still at least strike at times.
This is the first time the Browns have been favored in the 2025 season.
