After a promising start to the season, the New Orleans Saints suffered a disappointing setback on Sunday afternoon with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Caesars Superdome.
The Saints entered the matchup with momentum after bouncing back from a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 1 with an impressive 24-17 road victory over the Baltimore Ravens. That win provided plenty of reasons for optimism about what this team could accomplish this season. However, four 4th quarter turnovers
against the Raiders served as a reminder that there is still plenty of work to be done.
Despite the early ups and downs, the Saints have shown flashes of their potential through the first three weeks and proven they can compete against quality opponents.
With most of the season still ahead of them, the Saints have plenty of time to turn those encouraging moments into consistent results. The question now is whether the Saints can put everything together and finish the season above .500.
