This is not surprising news, but the Arizona Cardinals have decided they will not be playing their rookie third overall pick in Jeremiyah Love in the first game of the preseason.
Love is still, even after the new contract for Bijan Robinson, the running back with the most guaranteed money in NFL history, so getting him to play in the preseason is a little bit different than other rookies.
You have
to treat him a little more with a kid gloves than other rookies, and the Cardinals are in a weird position because their top three running backs are very unlikely to see much if any action in the preseason.
And their most on the bubble running back, Trey Benson has been dealing with a knee issue.
So, Bam Knight and Corey Kiner are the backs carrying the load for Carson Beck’s NFL debut.
Why we go back to yesterday that, let’s not get too low if Beck is bad.
Do you agree with the Cardinals decision to not play Love in the NFL Hall of Fame Game? Would you like to see him in any preseason action?
