UFC flyweight veteran Veronica Macedo became Veronica Hardy when she married former UFC welterweight title challenger Dan Hardy back in late 2022. Whether or not her marriage to “The Outlaw” is responsible
for her recurring spot in the UFC “Prelims” lineup is unknown, but it’s worth mentioning that UFC CEO Dana White banned “The Outlaw” from cornering his wife after “firing” Hardy in early 2021.
One pushy reporter demanded more respect.
“I wanted to ask you in the states but I wasn’t able to get into the states,“ the reporter asked through his translator. ”Veronica Hardy was once again the opener for the entire [UFC 320] event and this is like the seventh time she’s been opening it. Is there a reason why she’s always the first fight of the night?“
“Good question, I don’t know,“ White replied during the UFC 321 post-fight press conference. ”Where would you like her to be?“
“I don’t know, but maybe not the eighth time the opener of the event,” the reporter suggested.
“I will move her just for you, sir,“ White said.
Here’s clip of the exchange:
The 29 year-old Hardy (10-5-1) has now won four of her last five but remains unranked at 125 pounds.
