Last week, WWE Women’s World champion Liv Morgan and her Judgment Day lackeys Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez targeted the knee of IYO SKY. That was in response to SKY beating Morgan to win Queen of the Ring, thwarting Liv’s dreams of becoming champ-champ and setting up a SummerSlam rematch for her belt.
The follow-up to that angle on the latest edition of Raw, which premiered last night (July 13) on Netflix, was a match between SKY and Perez. Queen IYO was victorious despite Judgment Day’s collective
best effort, and as a reward suffered a three-on-one beatdown. Intercontinental champ Sol Ruca tried to make the save, but three-on-two isn’t much better. Finally, with her followers holding SKY up, the champ used her belt to knock out her challenger for Aug. 2 in Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium.
We don’t think IYO was actually KO-ed, but we won’t swear she didn’t lose consciousness for a second. Morgan’s expression reads a little concerned in the immediate aftermath, as for whatever reason she seemed to make more solid contact with SKY’s forehead than wrestler’s usually intend on spots like that one.
After Raw, SKY posted evidence of said solid contact to her Instagram Story. Ouch.

As long as we don’t hear any reports about IYO being in concussion protocol, this seems like one of those things that happen when you’re simulating beating the crap out of people.
Does it spice up the SummerSlam WWE Women’s World title program for ya?
