Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will stage its first UFC White House press conference later today for the upcoming “Freedom 250” fight card on June 14, streaming live on Paramount+ from the White House lawn in Washington, DC.
Today’s presser gets underway LIVE at 5 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
Expected to be on the dais are lightweight headliners Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. “El Matador” defends his 155-pound strap against “The Highlight.” In addition, co-headliners Alex Pereira and Ciryl
Gane are in town for the “Freedom 250” media festivities.
“Poatan” and “Bon Gamin” collide for the interim heavyweight title.
UFC CEO Dana White is expected to emcee the “Freedom 250” press conference.
“One of the myths that I would like to crush is I don’t care if you’re far right, far left, right down the middle, wherever you sit politically because everybody sits somewhere politically these days, this isn’t about politics,” White said on The Pat McAfee Show. “This is about the United States, what this country is about, how it was built, where we all came from. If you love America, you’re going to love this event. It has nothing to do with politics. We just happen to be on the White House lawn and the President of the United States will be there.”
