The time is here for TNA to take back what belongs to them. The stage is set at Bound For Glory (Oct. 12, 2025) in Lowell, MA for Mike Santana to head the charge against NXT superstars in championship
matches. Santana can lead by example if he wins the TNA World Championship from Trick Williams. It is time to put up or shut up.
TNA has been punked by NXT for the most part in this war between promotions. It was one thing for TNA wrestlers, like Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry to make surprise appearances in WWE. It’s another thing when NXT came knocking on the Impact Zone to take championships. It started with Trick Williams winning the TNA World Championship at an NXT event. Things looked bleak after Slammiversary when Trick Willy still had the gold and Jacy Jayne won the Knockouts Championship.
A few months later, TNA has momentum to turn the tide and restore order.
There will be three TNA title bouts against NXT superstars at Bound For Glory. Leon Slater defends the X-Division Championship against Je’Von Evans. A win from Slater would make a statement between young high-flyers with huge potential. Indi Hartwell challenges Kelani Jordan for the Knockouts Championship. Hartwell grew up watching TNA in Australia and winning the Knockouts title was a childhood dream. Jordan still leans babyface in nature, but she refuses to be a pushover just because TNA wants the gold back. Jordan worked too hard to achieve this success.
And of course, Santana challenges Williams for the TNA World Championship. Trick Willy has held TNA’s top prize for 136 days and counting. TNA hasn’t felt right since.
In anticipation for the world title bout, TNA produced a series of vignettes to explore what this moment means for Santana. In part one, Santana battled his demons to be reborn from the ashes of his weakness.
In part two, Amazing Red got real with Santana. When Santana failed to win the TNA world title at Slammiversary in front of family and friend in his hometown, he let everyone down. Amazing Red spoke the hard truth that Santana’s mentors were disappointed in his failure. He let Williams come into his ‘home’ and take what should be his. It is time for Santana to reach the top.
In part three, Konnan narrated his personal letter to Santana with poetry such as, “It’s going to get serious like a late period,” and his favorite quote from Victor Hugo, “There’s nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” Santana’s time has come.
TNA has been building Santana to be a superstar, and now he can be the conquering hero to save TNA from Trick Williams. It is just a matter on delivering the feel-good moment.
In addition to the TNA versus NXT angle, the other major attraction is the Hardys versus Team 3D one final time in a tables match. TNA gave the full production treatment for The Road to Bound For Glory.
