We had career nights all around for Nebraska tonight.
Britt Prince notched a 30 point career high game and reached 500 career points.
Callin Hake reached 600 career points.
Jessica Petrie reached 400 career
points.
Amiah Hargrove reached 200 career points.
Some pretty cool milestones to go with a dominating win. Nebraska’s high octane offense was meshed nicely with some gritty defense. Nebraska jumps to 5-0 on a young season and has plenty more in their future.
Starting lineups stay the same with Hake, Prince, Weaver, Petrie and Bozan.
First Quarter
Hailey Weaver and Britt Prince get Nebraska started off with the scoring, both being second chance points. The Huskers are getting good looks so far, just not falling early. As I’m typing, Callin Hake gets the steal and the reverse step through layup, but Oral Roberts hits the corner three in response. Petra Bozan has hit back to back jumpers, both assisted by Jessica Petrie. A good outlet pass to a sprinting Prince notches another two points on the board, followed by a block by Weaver on one end then Jessica Petrie gets fouled on the other. She’ll be shooting two after the media break (12-3 Neb).
Jessica Petrie sinks both free throws, Oral Roberts gets a layup, and Amiah Hargrove takes those two points back with her first bucket of the night (16-7 Neb). Nebraska has seven players in the scoring column after Eliza Maupin scores on a great pass by Kennadi Williams. Maupin gets the rejection that causes a shot clock violation and that will lead to a Claire Johnson corner three (23-7 Neb). Nebraska has been on a 9-0 run the last three minutes, hitting 6 of their last 7 shots after Hargrove gets another paint touch. Kennadi Williams has been playing incredible defense tonight, she’s caused a plethora of turnovers. Maupin’s back to back baskets put Nebraska up 22.

Second Quarter
Nebraska looked a little out of sorts the first two possessions with a turnover and then a shot clock violation, but they get back on track with a steal and then a Britt Prince three. Prince just made an Oral Roberts defender look like a fool with her behind the back move to the rim. PRINCE AGAIN WITH THE THREE! She’s got nine and the Huskers up 37-9. Jessica Petrie might have just had the prettiest post move I’ve ever seen..like seriously. Callin Hake comes back down and hits a three, then Prince gets a two on the next series (44-15 Neb). We go to a media timeout with 4:05 left.
Nebraska has 28 points inside the paint so far tonight which is really good to see. Claire Johnson will head to the line after getting fouled, she drills both. Jessica Petrie gets the steal, offensive rebound, and then will get a chance at free points (2of2). Alanna Neale has made her first appearance of the night. Not too much has been happening, some turnovers and fouls for both teams. Hailey Weaver will head to the charity stripe and she knocks both free throws down. Eliza Maupin will get a chance at a three point play and completes it.

Third Quarter
The first minute has consisted of a turnover by Nebraska, foul on Petra Bozan, a turnover by Oral Roberts, and a foul on ORU. Britt Prince breaks that disgusting basketball gameplay with a corner three, she’s got active hands to get the steal and the mid range jumper to fall. PRINCEEEE THREEEEEEE!! She’s got 22 on the night and she just surpassed 500 career points. Callin Hake wants in on this scoring action so she hits another corner three. KENNADI WELCOME TO THE SCORING PARTY. Williams is going to the line to try and complete the and-1 and she does just that (71-26 Neb). Claire Johnson once again gets the friendly bounce on a three, she’s got eight points. Eliza Maupin has been having herself a night, count the bucket and the foul. She’ll be shooting a free throw after the media break, 3:44 left in the third quarter.
Maupin missed the free throw out of the timeout. Oral Roberts has been playing fairly well the last couple minutes, scoring and causing some turnovers. Logan Nissley is sent to the line for a chance at her first points of the night, she’ll make both. Prince is adding to her total with another jumper and Weaver collects another block on the defensive end (80-36 Neb). Prince did just tie her career high with 24 on that last basket. Breaking News: Callin Hake takes another charge.

Fourth Quarter
Britt Prince has a new career high in points, we’ll see where she ends the night. There’s the Logan Nissley we all know and love, she hits the inbound three and the bench mob is loving it. Prince layup…another Prince layup (she just hit 30 points, by the way), Maupin layup…assisted by Britt Prince. She is doing it all right now for Nebraska. The Huskers are up 91-48 at the media timeout, 4:55 left in the game.
Logan Nissley will head to the line after the timeout and sinks both. Jessica Petrie whiffs on a layup, but makes up for it by hitting on the next possession. Kennadi Williams takes it herself and drains the hard fought layup, Maupin also gets a tough shot to go (99-53 Neb). Media timeout with under three minutes to go in the game. Maupin has 17 and her career high is 18, so we’ll see if we get two career highs tonight. Emily Fisher jab steps her way to an airborne layup, that was such a pretty basketball move. Kennadi Williams has played very well tonight and she’ll get rewarded with free throws (2of2). This game is all but over with 30 seconds left.
