A little over seven months ago, we were promised a truly spectacular design for Barcelona’s 2026-27 away kit. As it turns out that was only the initial design, and the latest leaks are very, very disappointing.
X account memorabilia1899, which specializes in Barça kits, released the latest design for the away kits that should be made official soon, and the expected purple and gold beauty will actually a black-purple gradient monstrosity.
This will be the second year of the collaboration between Barça and the Nike Kobe Bryant “Mamba” collection, and this one is certainly not as good as this season’s gold kits and definitely not even close to as awe-inspiring as the initial leaks.
Like with every kit that we initially hate, time passes and we eventually get used to it, but these are certainly a letdown compared to the initial promise. I’m definitely not buying these.
