Whoever said “Father knows best” clearly never met Chuck Smooth.
Tensions boiled over this summer in Illinois’ AAW Pro when Chuck Smooth and rival Joe Alonzo clashed in a deeply personal match with a bizarre twist: Alonzo’s career was on the line against the hair of Smooth’s 6-year-old son, Stevie.
Well, Smooth lost — and Stevie walked away with a fresh haircut, thanks to Alonzo.

Fast forward to this past Saturday. The rematch was set — fittingly — at AAW Pro’s A Bond of Hate. Smooth wanted payback,
and his son — still sporting a buzz cut — was right by his side.
Or so it seemed.
With Alonzo down and vulnerable, Smooth urged his boy to get his revenge. But in a shocking twist, Stevie ripped off his T-shirt, and revealed another underneath, which read, “I Love Joe Alonzo!”
Stunned, Smooth barely had time to react before Alonzo delivered a low blow. As Smooth dropped to his knees, Stevie flashed double middle fingers at his old man. Many in the crowd gasped while others cheered as Alonzo seized the moment and picked up the win.
Post-match, Alonzo and Stevie hugged it out, flipping off the crowd as the kid rode high on the shoulders of his dad’s biggest enemy.
“Joe Alonzo is for the KIDS,” Alonzo later posted on social media.
With the holidays around the corner, Stevie likely seems destined to make Santa’s naughty list. Then again, what kind of man puts his kid’s hair on the line?
Not very smooth, Dad. Not smooth at all.
