We got a breather after a breathless first two games of the World Series, with the two teams returning to action tonight as the series shifts to Florida. The Brewers only outscored the Rays by a total of two runs in Games 1 and 2, but they won both games, and the pressure is on Tampa Bay to turn this into a series back at home. They’ll have Freddy Peralta on the mound in service of that effort, with the righty coming off an ALCS MVP award and the team looking for him to continue what he’s done since
he came over via trade from the Mets.
It’ll be a light day on the site ahead of the Game 3 matchup, which will go off at 8pm ET and will see the Brewers counter with lefty Robert Gasser against Peralta. In the morning, you can catch Nick’s review of Tim Hill’s disappointing 2026 campaign, while Matt profiles Snuffy Sternweiss, not a household name as far as Yankees history goes, but the author of a couple of the greatest seasons we’ve ever seen from a lower-profile Yankee.

Questions/Prompts:
1. Who do you think has the pitching advantage tonight between the Brewers with Gasser and the Rays with Peralta?
2. As he’s set to become a free agent after the World Series, do you think Freddy Peralta has resuscitated his free-agent value with what he’s done down the stretch and in the playoffs?
