A challenging October schedule continues for the No. 7 Texas Longhorns with the second of three games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on the 24th with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. Central on ABC, the SEC announced on Monday.
Texas hosts Florida on Saturday in Austin looking to avenge last season’s 29-12 loss in Gainesville and rebound from the “frustrating” 27-24 loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. At 4-1 after a blowout road win over Vanderbilt in Nashville, Ole Miss faces a homecoming
challenge this week with a matchup against No. 13 Missouri, the fourth matchup against a ranked team for the Rebels this season. First-year head coach Pete Golding’s team has notched victories against then-No. 24 Louisville and then-No. 7 LSU before getting beat badly by Florida on the road.
The Longhorns are 6-1 against the Rebels in the all-time series, not including a 44-23 win by Ole Miss in 2013 that was eventually vacated as a result of NCAA violations, but the two programs have not played since Texas joined the SEC in 2024.
