Barcelona forward Roony Bardghji has gone down with a potentially serious knee injury suffered in training on Monday, according to Diario SPORT.
The winger was training normally and went down on his own and had to leave the session early in a lot of pain, according to the report.
Medical tests will be conducted soon to determine the severity of the injury, but there is fear of a possible torn ligament that would rule Roony out for several months.
Roony suffered a torn ACL in May 2024 and missed 10 months
of action for Copenhagen, and the concern is that he’s suffered the same injury again this time around.
The Swedish winger was left out of the squad that traveled to Italy for the triangular preseason tournament and was in advanced talks to leave Barça in this transfer window in search of more playing time, but a possible major injury all but ends any hopes of a move.
Barcelona will make an announcement once they learn the extent of Roony’s injury, and here’s hoping we somehow get some encouraging news. But it doesn’t look good.
