The Arizona Cardinals have requested to interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for their head coach position, per Ian Rapoport.
Smith and Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort spent a year together in Tennessee when Smith was the offensive coordinator of the Titans. The Cardinals moved on from head coach Jonathan Gannon after three seasons in which he posted a 15-36 record.
In 2025, the Steelers’ offense finished the season 25th in yards per game and 16th in EPA per play. With Mike Tomlin now gone, it’s reasonable to expect that Smith will be elsewhere one way or another.
