The Pittsburgh Steelers are placing wide receiver Roman Wilson on IR, per Aaron Wilson. By rule, he will miss the team’s next four games.
Wilson suffered a finger injury against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. He joins fellow wideout Michael Pittman Jr. on IR. In light of this, the Steelers have elevated Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson to the 53-man roster. They have also signed running back Lew Nichols to the 53-man roster.
The Steelers could be without another pass-catcher, as Pat Freiermuth
was added to the injury report with a calf injury. Wide receiver DK Metcalf was taken off the injury report after an illness on Friday and is set to play.
Pittsburgh is seeking its first win-streak of the year, as they take a 3-2 record to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers.
