Bayern Munich’s productive four-day training camp in Tegernsee has officially come to an end, but preseason preparations are only just getting started.
After wrapping up the camp with a dominant 15-0 victory over FC Rottach-Egern, Vincent Kompany has given his players a well-earned day off on Friday before the squad embarks on the next stage of preseason (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
On Saturday, Bayern Munich will travel to Jeju Island, South Korea, for an eight-day Asia tour. The trip will feature
two friendlies, beginning against Jeju SK FC before a much-anticipated clash with Aston Villa. Beyond the matches themselves, the tour will also provide another valuable opportunity for the squad to build chemistry and continue implementing Kompany’s ideas ahead of the new season.
The trip will also see several important players join the group, with Luis Díaz, Konrad Laimer, and Josip Stanišić all expected to link up with the team in South Korea.
The squad will not be fully assembled until after the Asia tour, however. Once Bayern Munich returns to Germany, stars including Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, Ismael Saibari, and Jamal Musiala will rejoin the squad, giving Kompany his complete roster as preparations for the competitive season enter their final phase.
