Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala is taking readers through his journey from childhood dreamer to professional footballer in his new children’s book, A Dream. A Ball. My Story.
Published by Friedrich Oetinger, the book is priced at €15 and was scheduled for release on October 9. It features an accessible, engaging retelling of Musiala’s football journey, accompanied by exclusive photos from his childhood and career.
“The journey to becoming a professional footballer is still unbelievable for me. We’ve
summarized it in a simple, engaging way with really cool pictures,” Musiala explained to Tz’s Philipp Kessler and Vinzent Tschirpke (as captured by@iMiaSanMia).
The 23-year-old also acknowledged that putting his story into words was a team effort, with experienced journalist and author Julien Wolff helping bring the project to life.
“Having the support of an experienced journalist and author like Julien Wolff was a big help because I’m more of a beginner when it comes to writing myself,” Musiala said with a laugh.
It is a fun opportunity for younger fans to learn more about the experiences, challenges, and milestones that helped shape one of Bayern Munich’s brightest stars.
Musiala has already achieved plenty in his career, but his story is also a reminder that even the biggest football stars start somewhere—usually with a ball, a dream, and plenty of hard work.
Now, the next generation of footballers can get a glimpse of how his journey began.
