Last weekend was tough for the 2025 LSU Tigers, but the former players had some highlights for us. Let’s break it down game by game.
Steelers 31 at Bengals 33
Turns out Ja’Marr Chase just needs any QB named
Joe throwing to him to be the best wide receiver on the planet.
White 40-year-old Joe Flacco throwing to him, Chase had an absurd statline of 16 catches for 161 yards and that TD. If the elder Joe can play like this consistently, maybe these Bengals can find themselves still in the playoff hunt when our Joe returns.
Patrick Queen had four tackles for Pittsburgh.
NFLSU Score: 8/10
Rams 35 at Jaguars 7 (in London)
Brian Thomas Jr. caught three passes for 31 yards. Maason Smith had three tackles and Omar Speights had three.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Raiders 0 at Chiefs 31
Devin White had a whopping 16 tackles. Jamal Adams had three including his first sack in five years. Jack Bech caught two passes for 13 yards (which was tied for second-most by a Raider, oof).
NFLSU Score: 6/10
Dolphins 6 at Browns 31
Grant Delpit had four tackles including a sack. He also basically forced this interception. Nice to see him get the best of Tua.
Ethan Pocic played center.
NFLSU Score: 7/10
Patriots 31 at Titans 13
Hey wanna see a Kayshon Boutte TD?
Boutte only caught two passes for 55 yards, but he sure made them count! Then of course this game also gave us Will Campbell and Lloyd Cushenberry blocking. Arden Key was out again. Surely there’s nothing crazier than a Boutte fingertip TD right?
Wrong! I give you a K’LAVON CHAISSON TOUCHDOWN!
Chaisson also had three tackles and two sacks. Pats are the clear frontrunner for NFLSU Team of the Year right now.
NFLSU Score: 9/10
Panthers 13 at Jets 6
Damien Lewis was out injured. Mason Taylor caught three passes for 31 yards. This game was disgusting, let’s move on.
NFLSU Score: 2/10
Saints 14 at Bears 26
Davon Godchaux had two tackles. Foster Moreau blocked.
NFLSU Score: 2/10
Eagles 28 at Vikings 22
In his first game in the United States in almost a full calendar month, Justin Jefferson caught five passes for 79 yards. I’m ready for the Carson Wentz thing to be over.
NFLSU Score: 6/10
Colts 38 at Chargers 24
Donte Jackson had three tackles and a pass breakup. Austin Deculus was in and out on the O-line and even made a tackle! I hope losing means the Chargers won’t wear these piss uniforms ever again.
NFLSU Score: 3/10
Giants 32 at Broncos 33
Cor’Dale Flott had four tackles and two pass breakups. What a batshit football game.
NFLSU Score: 2/10
Packers 27 at Cardinals 23
One of these days BJ Ojulari will be healthy again.
NFLSU Score: 0/10
Commanders 22 at Cowboys 44
Remember how last week I complained Jayden Daniels was without WR1 and WR3? I was ready to begin this recap complaining that now WR2 is injured. But of course that wasn’t enough for the injury gods and Jayden had to join them.
It not being long-term is good news, but it does suck since the Commanders are about to play five straight prime time games against four 2024 playoff teams. Oh, and he was balling out Sunday.
In just over one half, Jayden was 12/22 for 156 yards with one passing TD, and 35 rushing yards plus that TD. Keep in mind his wide receivers were Jaylin Lane, Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey and Robbie Chosen.
Injuries were basically the one concern with Jayden coming into the pros, and while he has toned down his reckless style since 2023, life is still tough. Like our other Heisman QB, all we want is to see them on the field. Their play brings us joy, and even if their franchises are too miserable for them to compete for a Super Bowl, we’ll settle for some great highlights.

Falcons 10 at 49ers 20
Nope.
NFLSU Score: 0/10
Buccaneers 9 at Lions 24
Deion Jones had one tackle.
NFLSU Score: 1/10
Texans 19 at Seahawks 27
Some have claimed Derek Stingley Jr. got beat for a touchdown in this game. However, you can’t prove it because nobody stayed up to watch this! All I have evidence of is this sick interception.
Sting also had two tackles. Danielle Hunter had four. Ed Ingram and Anthony Bradford blocked.
NFLSU Score: 6/10
BONUS: Mariners 3 at Blue Jays 4 (ALCS Game 7)
Kevin Gausman is on his way to his first World Series in his 13th season. In the winner-take-all game Monday night, he pitched a scoreless 7th inning (don’t look at how, it’s not important) and was credited with the biggest win in Blue Jays history in three decades.
The Jays’ final opponent, the Los Angeles Dodgers, also have a Tiger rostered in relief pitcher Paul Gervase.
