Joshua Kimmich believes the mood around Bayern Munich is already building ahead of the new season, with the squad back together and focused on its first major test.
Speaking about the team’s return to full training, Kimmich said he was pleased to see everyone back and looking ahead to Saturday’s Supercup clash against Borussia Dortmund.
“I’m glad we’ve got everyone back on board. It’s good for us all to be back together. Now we’re looking forward to the season and to Saturday’s match,” Kimmich said

Monday’s training session also gave Bayern supporters a chance to get a closer look at the squad, with the club holding an open training session. For Kimmich, that is an important part of what makes Bayern different from other clubs.
“Today, is a bit different from training at Säbener. It’s part of the club’s philosophy to hold lots of open training sessions. FC Bayern is a very special club in the respect,” Kimmich said of the club’s Team Day festivities.
With the Supercup now just days away, Bayern’s preparations are entering their final stage. The matchup with Dortmund will offer Vincent Kompany and his players an early opportunity to set the tone for the season—and Kimmich appears eager to get started.
