The New England Patriots’ game day roster underwent some significant changes from Week 1 to Week 2. Some of those are prompted by injuries to wide receiver A.J. Brown and cornerback Carlton Davis.
With the former on temporary injured reserve because of the ankle sprain he suffered against the Seahawks last Wednesday, the team opted to make fellow wideout Efton Chism active for the first time this year. Davis’ neck injury, meanwhile, has set the stage for fifth-round rookie Karon Prunty to make his NFL
debut on Sunday.
In addition, the Patriots will carry only three offensive tackles with Dametrious Crownover inactive due to a knee ailment. They did, however, get interior lineman Ben Brown back from the knee injury that had bothered him since the preseason opener.
Speaking of returns, TreVeyon Henderson is back to serve as the No. 2 running back behind Rhamondre Stevenson again. This, in turn, meant that Lan Larison was not promoted from the practice squad this time around; in fact, punter Mitch Wishnowsky — himself an injury replacement for Bryce Baringer — was the only player moved up ahead of the Steelers game.
The Patriots’ full game day roster looks as follows.

Speaking of healthy scratches, rookie tight end and training camp standout Tanner Arkin is not a part of the game day team this time around. He was deactivated in favor of Cameron Latu.
