Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga came on as a substitute for the outgoing Rayan Cherki in France’s 1-1 draw with Italy at Stade de France on Friday.
France went ahead after a belter of a goal from Michael Olise in the second half, before an error from Lucas Da Cunha allowed Alessandro Bastoni to score the equaliser.
Camavinga came on, and shortly after, Dayot Upamecano was sent off with a second yellow, which forced France on the back foot.
However, Camavinga did have a good cameo, as he took
two great shots from outside the box to force Gianluigi Donnarumma into brilliant saves. He also had some good passes and a few defensive interventions.
Before the red card, Camavinga was playing a bit further up the field, but had to drop back a little afterwards.
France play their final game of the international break against Belgium on Monday night, and Camavinga would hope to get more minutes.
