It’s going to be a long week of debate about what exactly ails the Seattle Seahawks after the team was demolished on both sides of the ball against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
On offense, Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price returned to action, while Quenton Nelson took to the field in a Seahawks uniform for the first time since coming over from the Indianapolis Colts. None of that meant anything, and the offense continued to look like trash under first year offensive coordinator Brian
Fleury.
At receiver Tory Horton set a career high by playing 43 snaps, but with the ineffectiveness of the offense for most of the game, he did not have much of an impact as he pulled in just three receptions for 26 yards on a half dozen targets.
On defense both Mike Morris and Rylie Mills set or tied their personal career high in defensive snaps played. Morris did so by playing 26 defensive snaps, matching the number of snaps he played against the Los Angeles Rams in the 30-13 to open the 2023 season in his regular season NFL debut. Meanwhile, the 23 snaps played by Mills marked the most of his career, topping the 20 snaps of action he saw in the Week 4 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Drake Thomas also returned to the field for the first time since the Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, playing 59 snaps, and Dante Fowler continued his unimpressive 2026 performance with just eight defensive snaps.
On special teams Morris once again led the way with 23 snaps, with Brady Russell and Rodney Thomas right behind at 22. At the same time, former starters Emanuel Wilson and Anthony Bradford saw their only action of the night on special teams, as Wilson logged seven snaps and Bradford just three.
And now it’s on to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9, with last place in the NFC West potentially on the line.
