Triple-A Nashville (72-58)
Record this week: 4-2
Second-half record: 28-29
C Jeferson Quero (No. 4): 3-for-15, 2 2B
MLB Pipeline’s No. 64 overall prospect looks to be nearing full strength after missing over a year due to a shoulder injury. Quero put up an OPS of .688 in June and .703 in July — respectable numbers, but nowhere near the .779 OPS he posted in his last full season (2023). This month? Even after a bit of a down week, Quero’s OPS is exactly 1.000.
Quero also leads the Sounds in RBI (20) and
doubles (7) since the calendar turned to August. 10 of his 18 hits this month have gone for extra bases. Finishing the year strong would only boost his chances of cracking the big-league roster in 2026.
RHP Craig Yoho (No. 16): 2 1/3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO
LHP Robert Gasser (No. 18) — REHAB: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 9 K
Gasser was officially activated from the IL this weekend and optioned to Triple-A Nashville. He’s on the 40-man roster and will be eligible to play in the postseason if the Brewers need him. Gasser was electric with the Brewers last year prior to tearing his UCL, so he probably won’t have to wait long to get another shot in the big leagues.
1B/OF Tyler Black (No. 24): 7-for-16, 2B, HR
RHP Coleman Crow (No. 25): DNP
RHP Chad Patrick: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K
LHP Tate Kuehner: DNP — Placed on 7-day IL on August 26
1B Rhys Hoskins — REHAB: 6-for-18, 3 2B
Double-A Biloxi (66-60)
Record this week: 4-2
Second-half record: 24-33
SS Cooper Pratt (No. 3): 7-for-23, 2 2B
Pratt’s OPS in:
April: .750
May: .571
June: .791
July: .583
August: .842
He’s been streaky, but 3/5 months with an OPS of .750 or above is … really good. Pratt’s .842 OPS in August was the highest OPS of any shortstop in the Southern League. He’s been putting up elite numbers for weeks at a time, which should serve as a reminder that his ceiling is one of the highest in the Brewers’ farm system.
1B/3B Luke Adams (No. 8): 2-f0r-10, 2 2B while rehabbing in High-A Wisconsin
OF Luis Lara (No. 12): 1-for-21
1B/3B Brock Wilken (No. 17): 2-for-15
Wilken made his return this week after missing over two months with a dislocated patella. Milwaukee’s 2023 first-round pick still leads the Shuckers in home runs, with 18.
RHP Tyson Hardin (No. 20): 2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER
The 23-year-old right-hander has had a breakout season between Wisconsin and Biloxi, sporting a 2.68 ERA over 87 1/3 innings. However, Hardin was briefly shut down in late July after reportedly not “recovering well” between starts. Biloxi is clearly trying to limit his workload going forward, as Hardin has only thrown three innings over two starts since returning.
1B Mike Boeve (No. 27): 2-for-7
1B Blake Burke (No. 29): 6-f0r-23, 1 HR
You know how I said Pratt had the highest OPS of any shortstop in the Southern League last month? Burke (.964) had the highest OPS in the entire Southern League. By 80 points. I know I keep saying it, but I’m going to say it again: he should be ranked much higher than No. 29 in the Brewers organization.
RHP K.C. Hunt: 2 G, 11 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 12 K
RHP Brett Wichrowski: 6 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 3 SO
RHP Jaron DeBerry: 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO
DeBerry has been referred to by Baseball America as “one of the more underrated pitching prospects in baseball.” The 23-year-old right-hander recently made their list of 10 MLB Pitching Prospects with Standout Data in August. DeBerry doesn’t throw super hard, succeeding instead with a wide arsenal of pitches and above-average movement on his pitches. He gets movement due to high spin rates — DeBerry’s calling card, a high-80s cutter, normally sits in the 2700-2800 rpm range.
High-A Wisconsin (53-71)
Record this week: 1-5
Second-half record: 19-40
SS Jesús Made (No. 1): 10-for-23
Made is quickly proving he can hit High-A pitching. He now has a .986 OPS as a Timber Rattler after a torrid week at the plate. The 18-year-old infielder has only gotten better since being promoted and is living up to his billing as a top prospect.
One thing to look for with Made going forward is consistency. Made also started off hot with Single-A Carolina (.949 OPS in April) but failed to reach .800 in any other month. I’m not trying to imply his August numbers are a fluke — he’s certainly talented enough to put up a .900 OPS in any given month. I would, however, like to see him do it a couple of months in a row before considering him ready for another promotion.
SS Luis Peña (No. 2): 1-f0r-21
Unlike Made, the transition to High-A has been rough for Peña. He’s hitting just .163 with a .543 OPS since joining the Timber Rattlers. It’s also a tiny sample size (80 at-bats), and he’s still hitting the ball hard. Development isn’t linear. Check back in a couple of weeks.
1B/3B Andrew Fischer (No. 6): 6-for-19, HR
RHP Bishop Letson (No. 7): 2 1/3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
C Marco Dinges (No. 10): 3-for-12, HR
2B/SS Josh Adamczewski (No. 13): 2-for-21
RHP Manuel Rodriguez: 10 2/3 IP, 11 H, 4 ER, 12 K, 2 BB
RHP Travis Smith: 4 1/3 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Single-A Carolina (65-56)
Record this week: 1-5
Second-half record: 29-28
OF Braylon Payne (No. 8): 4-for-15, 2B, HR
Sure, it’s been an “up-and-down season” for the 19-year-old Payne, but his season-long stats (.759 OPS) look very solid. He’s put together a couple of hot streaks (1.155 OPS in July) that offer a glimpse at his massive potential.
SS/3B Brady Ebel (No. 11): 7-for-20
Ebel, drafted No. 32 overall in this year’s draft, is now hitting .275 (11-for-40) with the Mudcats.
RHP Bryce Meccage (No. 15): DNP
INF Eric Bitonti (No. 19): 3-for-21
Bitonti has had a rough month — he’s slashing just .186/.280/.302 since August 1.
RHP Ethan Dorchies (No. 21): 5 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 8 K
OF Jose Anderson (No. 30): 3-for-18, 2B
RHP Jayden Dubanewicz: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 5 K
SS Filippo Di Turi: 0-for-13

Player of the Week
Jesus Made, who hit .435 with three doubles this week. Made is now slashing .356/.434/.552 through 87 at-bats with High-A Wisconsin.
Play of the Week
The Brewers are obviously excited about Made’s bat, but he’s looked better and better in the field as the season’s gone on. Good footwork and great hands from the Brewers’ No. 1 prospect:
