Inter Milan appear to be making some progress towards a move for Curtis Jones. According to Fabrizio Romano, Lazio have approached Inter for midfielder Davide Frattesi, which could clear room for Liverpool FC’s Jones to make his way over to Milan.
Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari of TV Dello Sport says just as much, confirming
that Inter are still interested in Jones and vice versa:
Curtis Jones remains Inter’s first choice for the midfield. The ongoing work on the departures (Frattesi and others) will lead the Nerazzurri to relaunch talks with Liverpool to get closer to the Reds’ demands.
Jones has already said yes to Inter and wants the transfer.
There was hope that Andoni Iraola’s arrival at the club would change Jones’ mind and lead to him committing himself to the team, but that ship appears to have sailed. If Jones is indeed set on a move to Milan, Alexis Mac Allister’s spot on the team also looks secure, as Liverpool look unlikely to sell another midfielder ahead of the new season.
