The Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the Northern Illinois Huskies on Friday in their second game of the season. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
Wisconsin had a 96-64 win over the Campbell
Fighting Camels in the season opener, finishing things off with a 29-2 run after a tight game through the first 30 minutes.
John Blackwell started his junior campaign off with a bang, scoring 31 points on 10/19 from the field, including 6/10 from three-point range.
Nick Boyd had a quality debut in a Badgers uniform, going for 21 points and four assists, while shooting 7/15 from the field and 7/7 from the free-throw line.
Nolan Winter started his own junior campaign with a double-double, pouring in 17 points and 12 rebounds, including six offensive boards.
Overall, the Badgers showed they have a lot to work on, but definitely had a good start to the season with quality ball movement and a strong finish to the game.
They’ll take on a Northern Illinois team that got a 102-82 win over UL-Monroe in its season opener. The Huskies have a brand new team with 16 new players this season, so they’re also going through a new phase to start the season.
Wisconsin is a 28.5-point favorite heading into the evening. Can they get the job done?
