Dan Quinn talked to reporters for the second time since losing 28-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football last night. He’s still thinking about the missed opportunities the team had, especially
in the 1st half after a pair of takeaways weren’t converted into points. The team didn’t get those opportunities in the the 2nd half, so not scoring earlier had them tied at halftime, instead of having a lead.
Swveral young players like LB Jordan Magee and S Tyler Owens for more playing time vs the Chiefs. They had to use LB Frankie Luvu as an edge defender due to injuries, but Quinn said the pair warned the opportunity to see more playing time. Rookie LB Kain Medrano was also active for his second game, but was only used on special teams.
Quinn didn’t have any injury updates until players check in with the medical staff. He said Jayden Daniels had a rehab session on Sunday as he should be back at practice. Washington has several players leave the game with injuries including LT Laremy Tunsil(hamstring), Johnny Newton(ankle), Terry McLaurin(quad), and Javon Kinlaw(shoulder). Kicker Matt Gay missed the game with a back injury and was replaced by Matthew Wright who was signed to the practice squad yesterday. Wright was released today, clearing the way for Gay’s return this week against the Seahawks.
