Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has not always had the smoothest relationship with club overlord, err…supervisory board members Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Even with things not always necessarily being easy, Eberl does value what the club legends have to offer in terms of experience and the drive to win.
“Yes, we need more people who simply want to achieve success for FC Bayern, with incredible meticulousness and ambition. I’m learning and enjoying listening when such experienced
people talk to me. I have the great chance to talk to them in depth. And yes, this hunger for success is what Uli Hoeneß has always radiated for FC Bayern,“ Eberl told Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)
Eberl has done a fairly good job of navigating the tricky waters of the Bayern Munich board room, but it does appear to have worn on him a bit of late. The standards are high and they will not be lowered any time soon.
