Myktybek Orolbai spoiled Jack Hermansson’s welterweight debut earlier this afternoon (Sat., Nov. 22, 2025) at UFC Qatar LIVE on ESPN+ from inside the ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar, churning in a devastating
first-round knockout to send “Joker” packing.
Hermansson, who has been a staple of UFC’s 185-pound division for the past decade, decided to take his chances at 170 pounds to end his 2025 campaign. UFC matchmakers didn’t do the veteran fighter any favors by booking him against Orolbai in his first welterweight fight, but some still believed Hermansson had enough left in the tank to make another meaningful run in UFC.
Sadly, that tank was emptier than expected.
Orolbai, who is actually known for his grappling and heavy pressure, was busy on the feet in the early going. He was able to back Hermansson up along the cage and unloaded a powerful right hand. It pierced through Hermansson’s defense and immediately knocked him out cold. Hermansson’s head slammed off the canvas as Orolbai snuck in one final punch before the referee made it over.
