Well, this is not the start to week one the Tennessee Titans were hoping for. It came out yesterday that LB Cedric Gray suffered a concussion in a UTV accident. The good news here is that the injury wasn’t more serious than it was. The bad news is that Gray is now in concussion protocol.
We know that no two concussions are the same. There is a chance that Gray is able to make it through the protocol in time to play on Sunday against the New York Jets, but that seems unlikely. The most likely scenario
is that they have to try to win this game without Gray on the field.
Gray emerged as a really good player for the Titans last season. He had 164 total tackles in 16 games last season in his second year with the Titans. He’s a big key for the success of the defense in 2026. Hopefully, he won’t be off the field for very long.
