After finalizing and confirming Harry Kane’s contract extension, Bayern Munich will make Michael Olise’s contract a priority. Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen spoke about the matter in a press conference, stating that the decision rests with him and Director of Sport Max Eberl.
“That [Olise’s contract extension] is something Max and I are jointly responsible for,” Dreesen explained (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “We always said that we don’t just have a fantastic player in Harry, but also
other great players in our squad, including Michael Olise. His contract runs until 2029, and we’ll sit down and discuss things at the appropriate time.”
Olise is a hot commodity among the European elite, with a host of clubs continuously monitoring his situation. Even in the hypothetical scenario that Olise does leave, prospective clubs will have to deal with the firm demands of the Bayern office. For context, Real Madrid previously planned to bid up to €150 million for Olise before ultimately signing Yan Diomande for €10 million less.
