Pregame notes
Mystics head back home after a quick two-game trip to Las Vegas, where they dropped both games. After having a 7-game winning streak, Washington has dropped two straight games, so they are looking to get back on track.
If there is a way to categorize the Mystics’ play on
Thursday, it would be inconsistent. Although they were able to stay close to the Aces on Thursday, their issues with turnovers showed up again. Mystics have shown the ability to play high-level basketball, but in order to make some noise in the playoffs they will need to be consistent at taking care of the ball, making their free throws and continuing to defend at a high-level.
The Mystics will be facing the Los Angeles Sparks who have been reeling a little bit lately, losers of three straight games and now short of their 2nd year starter, Cameron Brink, who went down in the Sparks’ loss to the Liberty.
Let’s see if the Mystics can turn things around.
