Alejandro Balde’s future
is making headlines again in Spain after spending the majority of Barcelona’s first eight games of the season on the bench.The left-back has had to watch Xavi Espart and Joao Cancelo play instead of him and has only managed 12 minutes of action for Hansi Flick’s side so far in 2026-27.
Balde’s lack of game time has Diario Sport reporting that Juventus are monitoring his situation and could potentially try to sign the defender on loan in the January transfer window.
The Turin
giants are said to be keen to bring in a left-footer and have already “sounded out” a potential transfer for the Barcelona star.
Premier League sides Manchester United and Liverpool have also been mentioned previously, but it seems that Balde is not really interested in heading to England.
Balde does still have time to try and play his way into Hansi Flick’s plans for the season but, as things stand, it looks a tough task for him to get regular minutes at Camp Nou.
