Sonny Gray must surely hope the Red Sox saved some runs for Wednesday night after a 14-2 trouncing of the White Sox in the series opener at Fenway Park.
Gray has been sensational all season and was wronged as an All-Star snub. With that said, the veteran has shown some regression over his last two starts. He allowed nine runs in 12 innings against the Blue Jays and Athletics. For reference, Gray had allowed just eight runs total in his previous seven starts across
45 1/3 innings of work. He looks to bounce back in hopes of seven consecutive wins for Boston.
