This is the end. On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies will take on the Minnesota Twins in the final game of the 2025 regular season. The game is meaningless for both teams as the Twins have been
long eliminated from postseason contention, while the Phillies are locked into their playoff seeding.
Cristopher Sanchez gets the ball for the Phillies in a final tune up appearance before he starts game one of the NLDS. The game will also feature the return of Trea Turner as he makes his return from an injured hamstring.
The Twins will counter with Simeon Woods Richardson. The righthander has faced the Phillies once before, shutting them out for six innings in a July 2024 start.
The game will have a later than usual 3:05 PM start time and will be televised locally by NBCSP.
