Bayern Munich ground out a respectable 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League, yet it puts the Bavarians in the unseeded places in the European league table. Back in the Bundesliga, Bayern will visit SC Freiburg who initially led the table during the first few matchdays but has since slinked downward.
Bayern will be without several key personnel, so the job just got harder for the Rekordmeister.

OUT: Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Kim Min-jae, Serge Gnabry
Player status updates
- Luis Díaz, thigh (out)
- Jamal Musiala, thigh (out)
- Manuel Neuer, foot (out)
- Joshua Kimmich, bereavement (out)
Coach status update
- Vincent Kompany, hospitalized (stable)
Three things to know (courtesy of Bayern’s official website):
- Bayern is undefeated in 49 Bundesliga games, stretching back to last season. They are also on the longest unbeaten streak in the league across the top five leagues.
- Freiburg have not won against Bayern since 2015.
- Harry Kane is top of the Bundesliga assist charts, not the scoring charts. He has five assists, the same number he managed in the 2025/26 Bundesliga season; Kane has equaled it in just six games.
Prediction
Bayern wins 2-1. Both teams will play high-intensity football, but Bayern will get the edge with goals from Kane and Olise. Another sloppy mistake will allow Freiburg to score a goal, but that’s all they will get.
