Barcelona look to maintain their narrow lead at the top of the La Liga standings when they welcome a talented Mallorca side to Camp Nou.
Here’s how we think Hansi Flick will line up his troops for Saturday’s battle:
Defense
Flick was able to make several changes in the Cup win over Albacete which allows him to return to a more Gala XI looking team for this one.
We think the coach will go back to his favorite back four combination as of late, with Jules Kounde at right-back, Pau Cubarsí and Eric Garcia at center-back,
and Alejandro Balde at left-back.
Midfield
Barça’s last La Liga game featured a spectacular attacking performance against Elche (except for the finishing issues), and a large reason for the huge amount of great chances created was the performance of the midfield trio of Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo and Fermín López, so we think Flick will go with this bold and attacking central setup once again to face a Mallorca team that is likely to play with a low block and a back five in this one.
Attack
Raphinha is expected to miss this one as he recovers from a minor groin issue, so Marcus Rashford will retain his spot on the left wing. Ferran Torres will return to the lineup ahead of Robert Lewandowski up front, and the on-fire Lamine Yamal will start again looking to continue his incredible form.
Possible XI: Joan; Kounde, Cubarsí, Eric, Balde; Fermín, De Jong, Olmo; Yamal, Ferran, Rashford (4-3-3)
