We’d been waiting for the Tennessee Titans to reveal their 2026 preseason schedule. It was not immediately available with their regular season schedule reveal. On Wednesday, the preseason dates and times were finally made available.
The Titans will begin the preseason on the road. On Thursday, Aug. 13, they’ll visit the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff from Levi’s Stadium is scheduled for 8 p.m. CDT. It will mark a return for first-year head coach Robert Saleh, who served as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator
last season (and previously from 2017-20).
Week 2 of the preseason offers the Titans their only “primetime contest” of the year. Tennessee will host the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, August 23. FOX will carry the national broadcast from Nissan Stadium with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. CDT. The Titans were defeated by the Seahawks 30-24 in what was arguably Cam Ward’s breakout game.
The Titans’ preseason concludes on Saturday, Aug. 29, when they host Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears at 5 p.m. CDT. Ward is attempting to make a Williams-like sophomore season jump. Saleh has previously said the Titans’ starters will play all three preseason games.
The Titans will then be tasked with submitting their initial 53-man roster by Sunday, Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. ET, a few days earlier than usual. This represents a real challenge for the Titans. The deadline is less than 24 hours after their final preseason game ends.
Will the Titans begin trimming their 90-man offseason roster prior to kickoff versus the Bears? Typically, you’d want a plethora of preseason players available for the exhibition finale to limit reps for your starters to avoid any injuries before Week 1. Saleh and Mike Borgonzi will have to get creative. They may have to submit some cuts prior to the preseason finale given the quick turnaround time.
