The acting bug is in the air for the former Zags. Not too long ago, it was Gonzaga legend Jeremy Pargo who expanded his resume to writing, producing, and starring in “The Final Play” movie. The romantic
comedy was created by his own production company, Pargo Productions, and can be viewed on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
Before that, it was San Antonio Spurs forward Kelly Olynyk who was in Netflix’s “Running Point” starring Kate Hudson, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, and Brenda Song. He plays “Portland big man” in the TV series.
Now, it’s Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot who made a cameo in NBC’s “Chicago Med” this past week.
In 2025, during her 15th season, Vandersloot averaged 10.6 points on a 43.9 field goal percentage, 5.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game before suffering an unfortunate torn ACL in her right knee this past June. Regarded as one of the greatest point guards in WNBA history, she plans to continue playing at the age of 36 years old.
The two-time WNBA champion and three-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year recently became Chicago’s all-time leading scorer with 3,724 points. She passed her wife, Allie Quigley, who played with the Sky from 2013 to 2022.
