Hansi Flick has been named La Liga’s Coach of the Month for September after overseeing a brilliant start to the season with Barcelona.
The German coach guided his team to victories over Valencia, Levante, Racing and Sevilla to continue the team’s perfect defence of their title.
The performances have ensured Flick has picked up another monthly award, beating off competition from Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Manuel Pellegrini of Real Betis.
Flick had won the award twice in each of the last two seasons and may well beat that record this time around if his team can continue on their current trajectory.
La Liga is currently paused due to the international break but will deliver some intriguing fixtures when action resumes in October.
Barcelona pick up their season against Getafe and then face Real Betis and Real Madrid in La Liga in what promises to be a key set of fixtures.
