Some days you’re the “Hammer,” other days you’re the nail.
Former UFC featherweight attraction Artem Lobov, who may have been responsible for igniting the biggest feud in the history of the promotion, was
planning to make his combat sports comeback after nearly five years of inaction. Unfortunately, a last-minute injury put an end to those plans and Lobov will return to the sidelines.
“Artem Lobov vs. Zubaira Tukhugov is off Friday’s PFL ”Road To Dubai” Champions Series card,“ PFL officials wrote on Tuesday morning. ”Lobov sustained an injury during training and will not be able to fight.“

Lobov (13-15-1, 1 NC) has not competed since losing to Michael Johnson at UFC Moncton back in late 2018. In the years following his UFC release, the 39 year-old “Russian Hammer” filed a Proper lawsuit against former friend and training partner, Conor McGregor, over the genesis of the Irishman’s whiskey fortune.
Tukhugov (20-6-1) is expected to be rebooked for an upcoming PFL card.
