Barcelona defender Jules Kounde is currently out injured but he’s made it clear what he thinks about his team’s latest win over Athletic Club in La Liga.
The defender posted on social media just after the final whistle at San Mames with the message, “Vamooooos!”
The win keeps Barcelona four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the table in La Liga with just 11 games left to play in the Spanish top flight.
Barcelona will now head straight to Newcastle for their next game in the Champions
League against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Kounde will once again miss out and is not expected back until after the next international break.
Hansi Flick is expected to stick with the same backline against Newcastle. He started Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin and Joao Cancelo against Ernesto Valverde’s side and saw his team keep an eighth clean sheet in all competitions in 2026.
